Trent Gazzaway is the national managing partner of Quality and Innovation for Audit Services. As a member of the firm’s Senior Leadership Team, he oversees all quality control functions for the firm’s Audit practice. His experience includes auditing public and private companies, and assisting companies in improving and evaluating internal control systems. Gazzaway previously served as the firm’s national managing partner of Professional Standards and its national managing partner of Public Policy and Corporate Governance. In addition to his audit experience, he routinely collaborates with members of Congress, regulators and key policy groups to help shape public policy that affects the accounting profession, investors, businesses and the capital markets.
In 2009, Gazzaway led the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) project team in developing guidance on effective monitoring of internal control (www.coso.org). He was also a member of the advisory committee for COSO’s 2013 update to the Internal Control — Integrated Framework.
