Marty Dorfner

Executive summary

Marty Dorfner is a business development executive in Grant Thornton’s Pittsburgh Office.  He is responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships in the Pittsburgh business community and ensuring that clients and prospective clients get access to the Grant Thornton subject matter experts and solutions they need.  Marty serves clients across many of Grant Thornton’s focus industries including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, energy, technology, services and not-for-profit.  He also represents all of Grant Thornton’s solutions including all services in the audit, tax and advisory solution families. 

Marty started his career in internal audit with PNC Bank and then transitioned his career to the services industry where he started an accounting/finance recruiting practice for a national staffing company, was part of the team that started the Pittsburgh office for RGP, a global professional services firm, and worked as an executive recruiter for a boutique, fully retained executive recruiting firm.  His responsibilities included business development, recruiting and office leadership.

• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, Duquesne University
