Steve Carter is the Practice Leader of Grant Thornton’s Credits and Incentives Services Practice. Steve’s is resident in the Cleveland office of Grant Thornton and is a Certified Public Accountant.
He has 23 years of experience working in state and local taxes. For the past 20 years Steve has focused in providing federal, state and local credits and incentives consulting for both public and private companies. Steve has extensive experience with regard to incentive negotiation, multi-state tax credit review, tax burden analysis, economic and fiscal impact analysis, and Federal New Markets tax credit consulting.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Steve was the Midwest Region Leader for a “Big 4” Credits and Incentives Practice. With the same firm Steve oversaw the Central Region while he was based out of the Dallas office.
