For second year in a row, Grant Thornton earns 100 percent on Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Scorecard on LGBTQ Workplace Equality

RFP
CHICAGO — Grant Thornton LLP, one of the world’s leading organizations of independent audit, tax and advisory firms, proudly announced that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Grant Thornton joins the ranks of 609 major U.S. businesses which also earned top marks this year.

“We help enable our people to bring their ‘whole selves’ to work through our inclusive culture, policies and benefits,” said Nicole Blythe, National Managing Partner, People Experience at Grant Thornton. “We are honored to be named as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality and receive a 100 percent ranking on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index for the second year in a row. Our diverse and inclusive culture helps our people thrive, and enables the firm to provide the highest quality services for our clients.”

The 2018 CEI rated 947 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Grant Thornton’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
