Celebrating grand opening on February 9, new office sets the standard for collaboration and engagement

"It really reflects our vision of a futuristic and digital workplace that enables us to connect with each other and our clients whether we’re here in Arlington, on the other side of the world, or anywhere in between."
ARLINGTON, VA.--Grant Thornton LLP will celebrate the grand opening of its new Metro DC office, located at 1000 Wilson Blvd, suite 1400, in Arlington’s Rosslyn community, on Thursday, February 9.

“Congratulations to Grant Thornton on the opening of its new, state-of-the-art office in Arlington County,” said Governor Terry McAuliffe. “Grant Thornton is a valued leader in the business community, and it is a priority to ensure that the company continues to grow in the Commonwealth as we diversify and build the new Virginia economy. We are confident that Arlington County and the Rosslyn Business Improvement District will provide the infrastructure, workforce and resources necessary for the company to thrive.”

The office unites staff from various offices in the Metro DC area. The total space can accommodate 1,500 people.

“We built our new Metro DC office to fit the way we like to work — with plenty of opportunity for collaboration, coaching and creativity,” said Mike McGuire, CEO of Grant Thornton. “It really reflects our vision of a futuristic and digital workplace that enables us to connect with each other and our clients whether we’re here in Arlington, on the other side of the world, or anywhere in between.”

“This is an exciting day for Grant Thornton and for all of us in Arlington County who now call this outstanding company our neighbor and partner," said Jay Fisette, chair of the Arlington County Board. "Grant Thornton’s new home in Arlington County will bring significant job growth to our community, and we welcome its expanded presence with open arms.”

Conveniently located to serve as a hub for Grant Thornton staff and clients throughout the DC metro area, the office is walking distance to the Rosslyn Metro Station, numerous local restaurants and nearby childcare centers, parks and entertainment. By 2030, Rosslyn is expected to have 4,000 new residents, 15,000 new jobs, 2,740 additional residential units and 200,000 additional square feet of retail space.

“The Rosslyn community is excited to welcome 994 of Grant Thornton's best and brightest to our neighborhood.” said Mary-Claire Burick, president, Rosslyn Business Improvement District. “Rosslyn is home to the consulting class, and I think the staff at Grant Thornton will find connections here that will help them grow professionally. They are also going to enjoy an active urban lifestyle with commanding views from their offices, biking and running trails along the Potomac, and more than 100 retail and restaurant establishments within a walkable 17-block radius.”

Grant Thornton’s new Metro DC office was designed with increased multipurpose space, modern conference and team rooms. The space, flooded with natural light, has state-of-the-art audiovisual capabilities and collaborative technologies. Staff also have complimentary access to an 8,000-square-foot full-service fitness center and a variety of concierge services.
