Grant Thornton expands with addition of 67 new leaders

Thirty-nine new partners and principals admitted, 28 promoted to managing director

CHICAGO, — Grant Thornton LLP has admitted 39 new partners and principals, and promoted 28 professionals to managing director, effective Aug. 1.

“These promotions recognize the outstanding achievements of our people,” said Mike McGuire, CEO of Grant Thornton. “Our colleagues have demonstrated excellent leadership skills and industry acumen, a strong commitment to strengthening our healthy, high-performance culture, and an unmatched ability to create value for our clients, profession and communities.”

Partners, principals and managing directors excel in helping clients achieve smart, quality growth in all aspects of their businesses. Noted for their exceptional contributions to Grant Thornton, these professionals have an extraordinary ability to lead and build relationships with clients and people at all levels of the firm.

Twenty-three percent of new partners, principals and managing directors are women, an increase from 21 percent from 2016. This continues to be an upward trend for women who now encompass 20 percent of Grant Thornton’s partnership.

By service line, Advisory accounted for the largest number of promotions (42 percent), followed by Audit (34 percent), Tax (21 percent) and internal client services (3 percent).
