"Our accreditation as a 3PAO assessment provider can help us add tremendous value to clients as they work to provide the most secure services to the federal government."
MCLEAN, VA --Grant Thornton LLP has achieved accreditation as a Third Party Assessment Organization under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services.
Administered by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), the 3PAO accreditation from FedRAMP recognizes Grant Thornton’s independence and technical competence. With this accreditation, Grant Thornton can help ensure that companies achieve and maintain FedRAMP compliance in areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity and risk management, leading to better government service providers.
“Added scrutiny of all facets of government work means added attention to service providers, especially in a modern, highly technological age,” said Dennis Bell, a partner in Grant Thornton’s Business Advisory Services practice. “Our accreditation as a 3PAO assessment provider can help us add tremendous value to clients as they work to provide the most secure services to the federal government.”
Cloud service providers (CSPs) that want to work with the government must undergo a rigorous cloud security assessment to demonstrate their ability to comply with information technology security requirements. Grant Thornton, with this 3PAO accreditation, will continue to help its clients bring their cloud solutions to the federal market by helping them comply with the requirements of the FedRAMP program.
