As a new hire, you'll be assigned a coach who will help orient you to our
firm, help guide your career and answer your questions.
Your education continues
- You'll receive a performance evaluation after every project over 40 hours so that you know exactly how you’re doing.
- You'll receive an annual performance evaluation, which will be based not only on your work performance, but on career development.
Within your first month, you'll participate in a week of in-house technical training on accounting tools and techniques, and a second week of face to face national training with more in-depth study of specific tools and procedures in a case study environment.

- Instructor-led local office or regional training for a more hands-on knowledge experience
- National webcast training
- On-the-job training from experienced staff and seniors
- On-demand individual training sessions through Grant Thornton University
Your leaders will lead
- Exam preparation -- We offer the Becker CPA Review Course to eligible entry-level new hires at no cost and will reimburse related exam fees.
- Educational assistance -- We provide assistance for professional licensure, without an annual limit, to all employees.
- International opportunities -- Through exchange programs with member firms, Grant Thornton provides qualified personnel the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in one of our international offices.
Sometimes it’s bigger than you
- You’ll be assigned to engagements that generally last from two to four weeks.
- You’ll have the opportunity to visit various client locations.
- You’ll regularly interact with managers and partners, who typically visit several times during the engagement.
Each office offers a variety of activities to help you bond with your co-workers and to give back to the community. These include an annual firm outing, an annual holiday party, end-of-busy-season celebrations, social get-togethers, athletic opportunities, recruiting events, charitable drives, diversity activity and more.
