Challenges facing a new administrationThe new president will face numerous challenges. Top among them is uniting the country, which might be best started by addressing many Americans’ frustration — the economy.

One of the two most unpopular candidates in history will be our new president. With 30% saying the country is moving in the right direction as opposed to 63% saying the country is off-track, he or she will have a lot to do to rebuild trust and confidence.

GDP growth has slowed considerably, labor participation is at the lowest in nearly 40 years, wages have been stagnant for almost 20 years, and net worth has plummeted for all but the top 10%.

Addressing the economy would be a logical first step toward a more unified United States.
