Post-Brexit insights: What happens next for US and global businesses?

There have been shockwaves across global markets following the historic vote by the British electorate to leave the European Union. The uncertainty after the vote has forced businesses to quickly assess the impact Brexit will have on their organizations.

We assembled a panel of experts to help you explore the implications of Brexit on your business. The webcast featured Dr. R. Daniel Kelemen, professor of political science and law at Rutgers University. Professor Kelemen recently briefed senior congressional staffers on Brexit, and is a frequently quoted author on foreign affairs. He was awarded the Jean Monnet Chair in EU Politics by the European Commission for his academic contributions.

Additional panelists included Grant Thornton leaders Nick Jeffrey, director, Public Policy, Grant Thornton International Ltd; Jim Peko, national managing principal, Transaction Services; Mark Scoles, partner-in-charge, Accounting Principles; and Doug Wood, partner, International Tax; who shared our firm’s advisory, audit, tax and global perspective. The panel was moderated by Nichole Jordan, national managing partner, Markets, Clients & Industry.
