Michigan enacts legislation package establishing incentives for in-state job creation

Download RFP
On July 25-26, 2017, Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder signed the Good Jobs for Michigan legislation package, a series of bills designed to attract businesses with sizable workforces into the state. Under the program, businesses will be allowed to receive a rebate of a portion of the state withholding taxes generated by new employees if certain new job creation and salary thresholds are met. Key provisions in the bill require transparency reporting to the state legislature and place limits on the amount of revenues that can be disbursed from the program.
