Program Content:
Since the declaration of a public health emergency, we have all been living in an environment that changes by the day, and at times, by the hour. By March 11th, COVID-19 was declared a pandemic, and many organizations began to make alternative arrangements for their domestic and global workforce, fundraising events, constituents and students. Short- and long-term planning has taken on a new and uncertain focus. With the CARES Act and supplemental funding measures signed into law, every sector, including not-for-profit and higher education, stands waiting for further guidance on many of the provisions.
Join us as we share discrete best practice examples of how not-for-profit organizations and higher education institutions across the country have been handling the pandemic and its impact on operations, and learn actions management can take to respond and move forward with resilience. We will also discuss our interpretation of the latest IRS and OMB/GAQC guidance and legislation, FAQs, and the accounting, tax and regulatory implications of the CARES Act and the COVID-19 crisis. Finally, we will share our Pandemic Risk Assessment tool and workshop that we are making available on a complimentary basis to not-for-profit organizations and higher education institutions.
