The 2014 survey is now closed. Results will be published in the October edition of Business North Carolina magazine. Criteria for selection and ranking
To be considered, companies must be headquartered in North Carolina. Inclusion is voluntary and companies are ranked by revenue in the previous year. Excluded from the ranking are:
financial services companies
health care providers such as hospitals and doctors' offices
Foreign ownership companies are permitted to apply as long as at least 50% of the revenue remains in-state. Ownership by private equity is also permitted.
